Family Law Review and Update (1 CE*)

If you work with clients facing divorce you know the legal system can have a huge impact on your client and their family’s lives. While you can’t and probably don’t want to be a lawyer, understanding the legal process can help you better support your client through one of the most stressful transitions of their lives.

  • Be aware of the recent legal changes to the family law statutes.
  • Understand how the legal process will deal with major aspects of your client’s divorce such as parenting of children, distribution of assets and liabilities, alimony and child support.
  • Learn about the many options available to your client. Pro’s and con’s of each of the major processes will be explained.
  • Feel more confident about interacting with other professionals involved in the divorce process.
